DISIRIG – Reliable IRIG Time-Code Distribution
Cycle introduces DISIRIG, a compact 1U IRIG distribution amplifier designed for reliable time-code distribution in demanding infrastructure and mission-critical applications.
Reliable and Redundant Timing Distribution
Reliable timing distribution depends not only on signal quality, but also on system availability. With DISIRIG, Cycle introduces an IRIG distribution amplifier that combines flexible signal fan-out with redundant inputs, redundant power, and remote monitoring.
DISIRIG provides two selectable SMA inputs, which can be switched locally from the front panel or remotely via Ethernet. This allows operators to change between timing sources during maintenance, source degradation, or outages without interrupting system operation. The selected IRIG signal is distributed to 10 isolated SMA outputs, each with consistent channel characteristics and a 50 Ω output impedance.
Broad Signal Compatibility
The unit supports any IRIG code format, modulation frequencies from 1 Hz to 100 kHz, and arbitrary modulation ratios. This broad compatibility makes DISIRIG suitable for a wide range of existing timing infrastructures and signal formats.
The specified output level is 2.2 V peak-to-peak into 50 Ω, while the measurement data on page 2 of the datasheet shows a measured mean output amplitude of 2.2 Vpp for a 1 kHz IRIG-B signal.
Continuous Operation and Remote Monitoring
For continuous operation, DISIRIG features dual redundant AC power supplies covering 100–240 V AC. An integrated Ethernet interface enables remote status monitoring, input selection, and fault reporting via TCP/IP, Telnet, and HTTP. Front-panel LEDs provide immediate visual feedback for both inputs and all outputs.
