2-Femtosecond Synchronization: SONATA & SOPRANO in perfect Harmony
What happens when two independent fiber lasers are synchronized with femtosecond precision? With our SONATA (1030 nm) and SOPRANO (1550 nm) fiber lasers, we have achieved an unprecedented level of synchronization: ✅ Using Cycle TCBOC, we measure relative time errors with a sensitivity of 18.3 mV/fs. ✅ The two lasers are tightly phase-locked using Cycle E-SYNC, with an out-of-loop jitter of only 2 fs (0.1 Hz – 5 MHz). ✅ Over 140 hours of stability measurement showed a long-term drift of only 1.3 fs RMS.</p> 📊 The graph shows both the measurement setup and the results achieved – from spectral jitter density to long-term drift. 👉 We are thus presenting a state-of-the-art synchronization system based entirely on Cycle components.
