Cycle is a young high-tech company that designs and manufactures world-leading precision systems based on ultra-short pulse lasers. We strive for innovation and are constantly advancing our technology in close cooperation with leading international institutions.

Sales Engineer (m/f/d)
Sales, Hamburg

Your Tasks

  • You will be the first point of contact for our customers and represent our company worldwide,
  • Respond to inquiries, understand, and evaluate customer needs and requirements,
  • Acquire potential customers through events, networking, and the use of online platforms,
  • Work closely with the technical team to offer customized technical solutions,
  • Travel to potential customers and perform product demonstrations,
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to expand our customer base,
  • Follow leads, and actively manage opportunities until closure,
  • Represent Cycle at international trade shows, conferences, and technical workshops.

Your Profile:

  • Education and experience
    • Successfully completed studies in physics, optics, engineering or similar,
    • Experience and understanding of optical or microwave metrology, lasers, or photonics,
    • Knowledge of CRM (ideally Salesforce) and ERP is a plus,
    • Work experience in high tech business development is a plus.

  • Conceptual skills
    • Trustworthy and reliable with a passion for our products and customers,
    • Strong sense of ownership, entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on mentality,
    • High degree of self-organization with ability to prioritize and to work independently,
    • Willingness to travel internationally,
    • Very good communication and negotiation skills in German and English.

Optical Engineer for Timing Systems (m/f/d)
Engineering, Hamburg
Your profile:

Education and experience

  • Successfully completed master’s degree in Physics or Optical Engineering (or similar)
  • 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Fluent in written and spoken English is a must
  • German and/or Chinese skills are a plus

Very good understanding about electro-optic technology, such as:

  • Knowledge of optical components, lasers, and fibers
  • Skilled in the use of lab equipment and diagnostic tools (e. g. oscilloscopes, signal analyzers etc.)
  • Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as product manuals, spec sheets and test data
  • Experience with fiber splicers, cleavers or optical analyzers is a plus

Conceptual skills

  • Can work independently and organize her-/himself
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of multi-disciplinary tasks
  • Team spirit and good communication skills

Your tasks:

Main tasks:

  • Build electro-optical systems and components for timing and synchronization
  • Work with laser scientists and engineering team to bring research results into product state
  • Travel to international customers on site for installation and service (up to 25%)
  • Prepare and review drawings, schematics, and diagrams and assemble opto-mechanical systems

Other tasks:

  • Build up test apparatus to characterize optical, mechanical, and electronic sub-assemblies
  • Communicate with suppliers and customers
  • Procure/purchase optical components for timing systems
  • Create documentation and maintain technical information in our SAP One ERP
Business Development Manager (m/f/d)

Your profile:
