Your profile:
  • Completed bachelor's degree in physics, (industrial) engineering, or similar (you are currently pursuing a master's degree)
  • Initial experience in sales, marketing or customer service as well as basic knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and contact management (CRM) are an advantage
  • Familiarity with online research and ideally with platforms such as LinkedIn/Xing, WordPress, Mailchimp, etc.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in written and spoken German and English
  • Independent and detail-oriented approach to work, curiosity and creative thinking
Your tasks:
  • After familiarization with Cycle's products and technology, you research potential applications, customers and competitors
  • Based on this, you create market and competitor analyses and enter information in our CRM Salesforce
  • You support our online marketing activities (e.g. e-newsletters, LinkedIn campaigns, website maintenance)
  • You may contact some prospects and customers, as appropriate, to learn more about application opportunities
Sales Manager (m/f/d) Laser Technology
Are you a salesperson with a technical background who likes working with global customers? In this position, you will be responsible for finding, understanding, and exciting new customers while maintaining positive long-term relationships with existing clients.
Your profile:
  • University degree (Master/Diploma) in physics, optical technology, electrical engineering or similar
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably as B2B sales manager in a technically demanding environment
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and German; Chinese language skills are a plus
  • Good comprehension and technical understanding of lasers, photonics or precision (RF-)measurement technology
  • Experience with the laser or timing sector, research institutes, or public tender processes
  • Very good PC skills, especially Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, ideally also ERP systems and LinkedIn
  • Curious, communicative, and courteous personality with cross-cultural experience
  • Ability to self-organize and work independently
  • “Startup mentality” and team spirit
Your tasks:
  • Identify and acquire potential customers through networking, events, and use of online platforms
  • Follow up on leads and actively manage opportunities until closing, including negotiating offers
  • Work together with customers and project managers to clarify and define requirements, maintain project information flow, create sales quotations
  • Present Cycle to customers and promote the company through online and offline events including worldwide travel (up to 40%)
  • Maintain contact and opportunity information in Salesforce CRM
  • Support marketing activities by proposing content, campaigns, and target groups
  • Collect market and competitor information for expansion of strategic business areas
  • Create annual business plans on account, opportunity, and product base
  • Regularly review and manage planned incoming orders
  • Support international tender and bidding processes
